The regular semi-annual meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) was held virtually this year between 17 and 20 August with 250+ broadcast sessions and 6000+ presentations. RotaChrom’s research chemist, Dóra Rutterschmid gave a comprehensive talk on the concept and the instrumentation of RotaChrom’s industrial-scale CPC platform (pCPC) in the planar session of the Cannabis Chemistry Subdivision of ACS. In addition to technical topics, Dóra reviewed the latest advancements of our cannabis-related CPC methodologies, such as the isolation of cannabidiol (CBD) and minor cannabinoids, as well as the efficient removal of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The presentation concluded with the summary of the unique features and core advantages of the pCPC system.
Based on the vivid reactions from the stakeholders of the cannabis industry, this very first scientific presentation on RotaChrom’s flagship product can be considered as highly significant.
