TEAMS
Rotachrom is build around a multidisciplinary team of professionals working in close coordination across departments. The company’s core operations are supported by essential functions including finance, logistics, and business development, while its technical and scientific capabilities are anchored by three primary hubs: the Chemist Team, the Design Team, and the Product & Customer Engineering Team.
These specialized units collaborate to ensure seamless development, scale-up, and implementation of advanced purification solutions. In addition, our strategic direction and growth are supported by a group of committed investors who share our long-term vision.
CHEMIST TEAM
An R&D Laboratory, in which the chemist and chemical engineers develop new methods and work on innovative solutions for diverse CPC applications. These include the isolation, fractionation or remediation of diverse materials, such as natural extracts, APIs, difficult racemates and macromolecules like mRNA or LNP.
The research lab has access to characterization tools such as HPLCs equipped with different detectors like UV, CAD, or MS, allowing to monitor the efficiency of the CPC method development at-line and off-line as well. The facility is equipped with multiple CPC units at different scales, to run multiple tests parallel or in hyphenated mode to conduct experiments using MDM (multi-dual-mode) technique.
The CPC lab allows the configuration of multiple CPCs to run in tandem to obtain continuous manufacturing scenarios. The laboratory is equipped with all the necessary space and equipment (pH meter, scales, rotary evaps, freeze drying units) to prepare all necessary samples and solvent systems and to run small and pilot scale solvent tests and (residual) solvent removal jobs.
DESIGN TEAM
The Design Team includes RotaChrom’s mechanical, electrical, software, PLC, and process engineers who are responsible for the core product development activities.
Operating within the Engineering HQ, they utilize high-capacity computational resources to support 2D/3D CAD design, CFD simulations, and FEA analysis. These capabilities ensure robust mechanical, fluidic, and control system design.
The co-located prototyping and testing space enables fast iteration, with pressure testing, preliminary I/O checks, and functional trials conducted on-site during development.
PRODUCT &
CUSTOMER ENGINEERING TEAM
The Product & Customer Engineering Team bridges development with production and end-user environments. They manage verification and validation protocols, support assembly, and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) alongside the QA team. This group is also responsible for customer-specific configuration and integration support, ensuring seamless adoption of CPC platforms.
Their role extends into supervising notified body assessments for regulatory compliance. The shared facility also serves as a warehouse for parts, spare parts, and inventory, maintaining readiness for deployment and service.
